Greg Waller’s areas of expertise are corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate valuation. He also has considerable industry experience, especially with small, mid-sized, and family-owned businesses. He has owned, managed, and transitioned companies that specialized in real estate, contracting & construction, and industrial sales & services.
In addition to his work with Cornerstone, Dr. Waller is an Associate Professor of Finance at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He teaches courses and researches a variety of fields including advanced valuation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate risk management, and investment policy. He has served as an outside consultant to numerous firms in the areas of corporate finance and strategy and has provided continuing legal education credit courses to the Virginia legal community on the topic of business valuation.
Dr. Waller earned his BA and MBA from Ohio University and his Ph.D. in finance, with minors in economics and strategic management, from Purdue University. He holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and has been qualified as an expert witness in both federal and state courts.
